WBXL's new studios (2005)|
This week's picture comes to us courtesy of Peter Hunn, the faculty advisor for WBXL, the student-run radio station at C.W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville.
The station marks its 30-year anniversary this year ushering in a brand new main studio which is part of an ongoing renovation of the High School.
It doesn't take too much equipment to broadcast these days; the studio includes a 360-System Instant Replay which provides most of the music, a couple of CD players, a pair of
EV 635A mics, and an Autogram Mini-Mix 8 control board.
Since the station's debut in 1975, WBXL has provided real radio experience to over 2,200 students. For many of those years the station was headed up by Al Jenner, who has since retired from the district but still serves as chief engineer at WSEN and WFBL.
