Up until 9:14 a.m. last Saturday, it was a typical morning at CBS Radio for Peter King.
"You could say my heart stopped for a minute," recalls the network news anchor who alerted listeners to a potential problem with the Columbia space shuttle. His reports aired around the clock for most of the day on more than 500 stations nationwide including WIBX 950 in Utica.
King, 46, a graduate of Ithaca College, spent more than ten years in the Syracuse market at WHEN and WRRB.
