Dr. Laura's mother found murdered

Dr. Laura Schlessinger said today that she was horrified over the "tragic circumstances" of the recent death of her mother. Yolanda Schlessinger was apparently murdered in her home a few weeks ago; her body was not discovered until this week. The famed radio talk show host, who had been estranged from her mother for years, is taking the rest of the year off.
Here is a written statement released by Dr. Laura:
I am horrified by the tragic circumstances of my mother’s death, and so sad to learn that she died as she chose to live—alone and isolated. My mother shut all her family out of her life over the years, though we made several futile attempts to stay connected. May God rest her soul.
