Clear Channel stations' web sites back in local hands

Friday, October 19, 2001
Following a reorganization of the Clear Channel Interactive Group, management and control of the more than 800 Clear Channel radio station web sites will now fall to local station management. With the move, "radio stations will have increased flexibility in selling, promoting, and designing site content."

After Clear Channel bought the group, Cox Interactive continued management of the sites until last fall when sybercuse.com folded and development of the station sites fell to Clear Channel's interactive web development group.
